Fabulously Gay and Invoking the Goddess

Do any of you think that Gay guys should be allowed to invoke or embody Goddesses? Being a gay man, and not a fluffy pagan, I just wondered what you all thought. Is sexuality based primarily internally, or externally, in genital configuration?

	Where is your proof that this is Robin? It looks like a person asking a perfectly legitimate question. In my opinion, homosexuality _is_ an internal thing, not a matter of genitalia. and agree with imptail. How do you know for sure this poster is Robin Artisson? I don't think you should assume that this person isn't legitimatly asking a question. What kind of example do you set for this group, and who should really be banned. I thought per the rules of this group, that we weren't allowed to come out and blast people the way idunsgarden has done. Maybe the management of this group should consider her groups status, considering she is bringing a personal gripe in here.

Ahh. Another ID from Robin Artisson. If this is all you can do to "get back" at Anthony for making a post against you, for being a troll, which, obviously, you're showing how great you are at that by mangleing our website name and using copyrighted images (Oh, I noticed you changed that as soon as I mentioned that), then you're even more pathetic than I ever gave you credit for. Excuse me, but I am not Robin Artisson. To be fair, I compared your websites from the links given, and found Mr Artisson's to be a good deal more informative, interesting, competent and mature. I mean one just has to look at your icon to realize how juvenile you are.
I didn't make this LJ to harass anyone. If you have a gripe with this Robin Artisson, could you please go somewhere else with it. Do you hate gay people and think gays can't be pagan or something? I want to try to answer this person's question, but can't because you keep imagining it is someone else.

I realize that in a non-fluffy list we have to understand that not everyone is expected to get along, but WTF? I don't think that this warrants a whole bunch of posts about something that happened way back in the when. Why don't you either answer the question or back the fuck off. And if this person is who you say they are well, then that person should really get a life and stop being a dick as well, but. . all I see is someone who is asking what I would consider a legitimate question.

Now to answer your question regarding whether a gay man should/could draw down the Goddess. I personally think that if you feel that is what you want to do, do it. I have been in a circle where the priestess was a man and the priest was a woman and both drew down there opposing God/dess (ie. The priest drawing down the goddess and vice versa). I have to say that it was a little weird, but then again I have only been in circles where it was conventional. Just my .02

Er. Since when does gay man=feminine? I've known some pretty damn manly gay guys, and a few really femme straight ones. A gay man might be more accepting of his "feminine side" in most cultures than a straight one, but screwing men does not turn someone female.

I believe both "male" and "female" energies are present in everyone to some degree and with enough focus, can be tapped into by anyone, although most people will be more comfortable with one than the other.

Nope.. since I don't play it. I just know that this post has turned into a flame war, and the drama on this community regarding the whole situation is really irritating me. I don't know if imptail is robin... or someone else. Personally, I don't care. Hell, I don't even know who is Robin is, other than he acted like a pompous ass when I said I didn't like his essay. *shrugs* Whatever. Not everyone likes me, I don't like everyone. Life goes on. The reason why I think this post, or at least a good chunk of the comments, is going to go away once the mods get around is because there's no discussion, just flame and bait. Regardless, I did answer the question posed, honestly no less.

I'm just sick of showing up to a community I usually enjoy and being presented with spam and drama. As such, my patience has worn thin.

I think anyone, regardless of orientation, should be "allowed" to attempt to invoke or embody Goddesses. Whether or not they are sucessful, is another matter. I don't feel that genital configuration is as much of a factor as one might think. In our pre-embyonic state, we all come from the same genes, before the cell number of the embryo becomes an odd number, thus beginning cell differentiation and the determination of gender. This being the case, I feel all humans have it deep within themselves to invoke a God or a Goddess, because our essense all comes from the same place.
